I think I'm doing something wrong. With the DivaCup, that is.
First of all, I've never been able to do the whole pinch-the-base-and-turn bit. How the heck does that work? Everything is slippery in there and I just can't get my thumb in there at that angle to pinch and turn!
So, instead of pinching-and-turning with two fingers, I try to turn the thing with one finger jammed way up there, trying to get on all sides of it and push them around, trying to coax it to open up fully. This morning it took an especially long time for the thing to open up. I might have given up before it did. I just had to block it out of my mind.
Then there's this strange pain like those dang eggs are still tearing themselves off of my uterine wall (no, this is not a professional medical opinion), or like I've jammed two tampons up my cervix and forgot about them. Or maybe I just still have cramps! If they're cramps, they're strange. They're not like my first day cramps.
I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong, or even if I am doing something wrong!! I'd sure appreciate the expertise of another diva girl on this!!

Okay! This pain is NOT okay! I should NOT be writhing every few minutes!! SOMETHING is wrong up there... I think I'm gonna have to go back in!!
so i took it out and inserted it lower in the cervix... so far, so good.
Girls, this is an official Diva instruction: don't push your DivaCups too high up!!
aww Sarah.. :( I feel for you! I just got my DivaCup, and so far so good! I "imagine" that I can feel it, but I don't think I can really.. although it did feel like I had an air bubble stuck there for a while, but now it seems ok.. I've yet to take it out, and I haven't checked yet to see if I'm leaking or not.. *sigh* first timer.. haha.. And I wasn't able to twist and turn.. I'll try it again next time, I think I'll try to make sure my fingers are dry, and the "twisty" part is dry (how I'll accomplish this, I'm not sure.. but I'll keep you posted).. :) Thanks for introducing us! :)
